Gerald Chreiman
Jerry Chreiman started his law enforcement career in January of 2000. During this time he has served as a patrol officer, Field Training Officer, Lead Department Trainer, and is currently serving as a Patrol Sergeant. During his tenure in the Department's Training Unit he was responsible for the initial certification and recertification for all sworn police officers in the areas of Firearms (pistol, shotgun, and patrol rifle), Taser, Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVOC), Expandable Baton, OC Spray, Handcuffing, Response to an Active Shooter, Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), and Defensive Tactics. He is also certified Simunitions instructor.
He was selected to the department's Emergency Response Team (SWAT) in 2004 where he has served as a team member/operator, Assistant Team Leader, and is now serving a Team Leader. In addition, he is still serving as the team's lead trainer in the utilized weapons systems and all areas of tactical operations such as high risk warrant service, response to a barricaded person, hostage rescue tactics (HRT), and dignitary protection.
In addition to his duties as a sworn police officer, Jerry is also a current instructor for the Montgomery County Municipal Police Academy in the areas of firearms, physical fitness, and basic classroom curriculum. He has over 30 years of martial arts experience in various disciplines and was a member of the 1998 US Cup Tae Kwon Do Team.
