Undercover operations are extremely unpredictable and have the potential to turn deadly in a split second. Many covert operations proactively target the worst criminals operating in communities by using undercover law enforcement officers. Unfortunately, the UC often becomes the victim of a robbery, kidnapping, or other violent act. Initially, the UC must aggressively fight or utilize stall tactics to save their life. Over the past several years, there have been numerous occurrences of undercover officers injured or killed during covert operations. Several confidential informants have been murdered as well during “controlled operations” by law enforcement.

In modern day police work, many covert operations have rescue teams whose primary responsibility is providing emergency assistance to the UC or CI. Although these rescue teams participate in each covert operation, many members of the rescue teams have had very little formal training or experience in conducting rescues in a hostile environment. The lack of training has caused rescue teams across the country to stall, fail to act, or make critical errors when attempting to rescue the UC or CI. As a result, undercover officers and informants have been injured and killed based on the rescue teams’ lack of training.

In an effort to replicate real life scenarios, this four day, high intensity training course uses reality based training tactics. Officers will participate in outdoor practical scenarios forcing rescue times to perform in high stress situations.

Officers will learn proper tactics and techniques to conduct vehicle rescues, structural rescues, and open air rescues often experienced in covert operation.
